The Pumpening

What Happens to my Binance Account if I die?

What happens to your Binance account if you die? 😵

Just like any online account you own, your account and your cryptocurrency holdings will remain dormant until a family member tries to get access to your account, or until some hacker gets a hold of your account (which is something you obviously wouldn’t want.)

Death plan 🪦

Though unexpected death hopefully wouldn’t happen, it’s very important to be ready in case such an unfortunate event happens, so your cryptocurrency holdings and money wouldn’t get completely lost if it’s the case that an unexpected death happens.

Tell your family you have a Binance account, and that you hold crypto

That way, if you die unexpectedly, your relatives would actually know that you have money stored through Binance’s platform.

A family member can then contact Binance support and attempt to gain access to your account. Your family members don’t really need to have access to your username and password, but it would help with the process if they at least know your login email.

How do I gain access to a dead family member’s Binance account? 💸

Binance’s “inheritance procedure” is going to be a grueling process as Binance support has to be totally sure that you’re not just a hacker trying to gain access to a person’s account.

You’re going to need to contact Binance support, and thoroughly explain the situation. Binance support would then ask for ample proof of the person’s death, and ample proof that you’re actually a blood relative.
